Tony Zawinul accepts Grammy for his father
At the 52nd Grammy Awards Joe Zawinul was posthumously awarded for „75“ as „Best Contemporary Jazz Album“. For the whole Zawinul family this was a very moving and emotional moment.
In his acceptance speech Tony thanked the Academy, the Zawinul Syndicate, Birdjam and Joachim Becker.
„As you know my father passed away a couple of years ago, but his music still lives strong and continues to live even after this (referring to the grammy statuette)“.
